We are delighted to invite you to the launch of a major new public artwork installed in and around Southampton’s Guildhall Square, at the heart of the City’s new Cultural Quarter.
Twenty photographic banner images of Southampton residents will celebrate their lives and the diversity of the City’s population. The portraits will be on display from July until mid-October 2010.
City Portraits, by artist Laura Hensser in association with the John Hansard Gallery, is underpinned by research with participants by Dr Paul Sweetman, Division of Sociology and Social Policy, University of Southampton.
Supported by the Creative Campus Initiative, which is recognised by the London 2012 Inspire programme.
