The New Photo Directory is a new platform aiming to promote and connect emerging photographers to potential clients. The platform will work as a research hub, aiming to find out what the photographer wants and what the art buyer needs. Apart from our survey, we will feature interviews with industry leaders and established photographers and articles on the photography industry. When you register you will also be able to take part in discussions, and access deals and information on upcoming events.

LONDON STUDIO AVAILABLE

Fantastic permanent artist space coming up in Spring 2012 in Walworth [near Elephant & Castle]. It is the floor of a warehouse [was a print works until mid 1990s] 2,000sq ft and is being completely refurbished with a disabled toilet, kitchen, bathroom with shower and heating. The studios will be configured according to the wishes of the artists that take the space. It works out around £15 per sqft including rates.

Magnum Photos & IdeasTap launch educational partnership

Magnum Photos & IdeasTap launch educational partnership

Magnum Photos and online youth arts charity IdeasTap have joined forces in a three-year educational partnership to invest in the most exciting emerging photographers in the UK. Building on the inaugural IdeasTap Photographic Award in early 2010, this new partnership will offer subsidised training for new photography talent through Magnum’s popular educational events across the UK. HAPPY NEW YEAR FROM THE FOTOFOLIOS TEAM - ANNOUNCING GREAT NEWS

Dear All, 2011 is going to be an exciting year for everyone who belongs to fotofolios.
We have decided to open the site to photography courses around the world offering a number of interesting institutions a years trial membership. Students from Spain, India, Mexico, New Zealand, Australia, Ireland, Estonia, Saudi Arabia and the US will soon be uploading work to the site and we are next approaching The Netherlands, Italy, Brazil, Ghana, South Africa and Wales - be patient it will all take time month by month new work will emerge.

STUDIO SPACE AVAILABLE IN LONDON

Fellow artist Lucy Levene and I are looking for someone to share our studio in Hackney. Details are copied below so please get in touch and/or pass it on to anyone else that may be interested.....It would be great if you could help us spread the word.

(We are also looking for people who are solely interested in using the darkroom facilities as we offer long-term membership or day hires.
