Sarah Tehan: Aporia Curated by Donna Kiernan
23 April – 27 April, 2013
Opening:
Wednesday 24 April, 7–9pm
Artist Talk with Curator:
Wednesday 24 April 6 – 7pm
Sarah Tehan’s first solo exhibition is an exploration of medicine, science, indexicality, philosophy and photography’s true representational nature. Presented as a series of alternative portraits, Aporia documents one person’s life with M.E. or myalgic encephalomyelitis through abstract representation, which reflect the contradictory nature of the condition itself and the photography’s ability to capture it.

Andrew Bruce (UCA Graduate) has a solo show in Sweden
Galleri Box proudly presents Andrew Bruce first solo exhibition in Sweden – Cold Air Rising, with artworks that address questions about death, time and photography.
“Andrew Bruce photographs wild animals both dead and alive principally using a large format camera, presenting his photographs as life-size analogue handprints. Bruce seems to be searching for some sense of touch and contact with both the photograph and the bodies of the animals he finds.
