FotoEvidence Book Award
Once a year the FotoEvidence Book Award will recognize a documentary project addressing a violation of human rights, a significant injustice, or an assault on human dignity. The selected project will be published in a book, as part of a series of FotoEvidence books dedicated to the work of photographers whose commitment and courage create an awareness of social injustice.

This five day intensive, practice oriented workshop is produced as part of the Format International Photography Festival and focuses specifically on the festival theme of street photography.

Voies Off Photography Prize 2011- Call for applications
Deadline: 15 January, 2011
For the past 16 years, Voies Off has offered an alternative approach to emerging contemporary photography, its particularities, its evolutions, and its areas of resistance.
Voies Off night projections during the opening week of the Rencontres d’Arles festival (first full week in July) have become an international reference for the discovery of emerging authors and the alternative venue that it creates for inter- national photographic creation.

Papworth Trust Photography Competition
Papworth Trust has launched its first photography competition, Independence, with prizes including a Sony Handycam DCR-DVD 115E camera worth over £300. Please could you forward this email to your networks and people you know would enjoy entering this competition – it is open to everyone
The competition will be judged by a panel including internationally reknowned photographer David Rose. Entries can be digital images or prints, and the competition will be judged in three categories:
