Alone looks at the relationship between the remaining members of a family after paternal the figure leaves, the project looks at the isolation and abandonment of each member. The project also looks at the ‘man of the house’ ideal with the remaining man taking the throne in his fathers place becoming the man of the house. The events depicted within the photographs took place in 2005 requiring the subjects to look back on the past and draw from memory and personal experience.
