Portraits of Solitude

by Pradeep Menon

A family is an interaction based unit with diverse and dynamic intra-personal relationships. Caught up in the rat race, chasing success, we are experiencing severe lack of time to sustain connections with our families, friends and even with ourselves. We are lost in the chase without realizing the consequences and the basic reasons. Isn’t this alien to our basic nature of a social animal? Aren’t we all living together alone and disconnected. A wise man once commented “Success is in big things and happiness is in small things”. Do we have to rework our priorities in life? ‘Portraits of Solitude’ brings out this impact of the modern lifestyle on Indian families.
