Claire Cottingham
Fascinated by the human anatomy and body language sparked the interest in photography for Claire during her GCSE's. Using the anatomy as a solid focus through out her work drew her to the photographer Mario Testino. from this an interest in photography took place, glossy beautiful prints have become a main feature in her work. Claire likes to capture the beauty in an image by using documentary, studio and portraiture. Claire has recently been concentrating on documenting a Burlesque Troupe called the Miss Polly Rae and her Hurly Burly Girlys, exploring her relationship with the camera and her girls but also how she perceives the subject she is photographing. Being very interested in having people as a subject, she has focused her energy showing these dancers how she see them backstage and on the stage.
