Current photographic interests are very concentrated on experimental photography.
The attention to detail in photography creates great interest for me, the way an image has so much detail, often missed by just one observation. I like to put great detail into my work and always have idea’s about what I can do next, often leaving a big selection of open ended project idea’s that are always there for my development.
Using the ability to follow guidance then adapt ideas to different media, focusing on traditional black & white darkroom work as well as digital photography.
The science behind the imagery, the development of an image can be so interesting, from taking the picture to developing the film and processing the different techniques in the darkroom to create an original photograph, plus finding that when experimenting in the darkroom, no one enlargement is the same, thus on the basic that not everything is original.
