Fanny Janssen is a practicing artist that uses and is concerned with photography as a subject and as a medium. She works with images to create situations and to explain a certain subject. These ‘subjects’ usually root back to and stems from the subject of Photography. Her work is usually seen as Fine Art.

These text/dialogues she uses often come with and work alongside her images sometimes in the form of poetry and sometimes as a short story. The 10 images here are titled individually but, put together; they can also read as the following; “She says I should go come back later and stay. I say what can I do except listen to it and watch it turn back round and play.”
Fanny Janssen has lived and grown up in London. She feels very strongly on recycling and tries to recycle her work as much as she can to produce the next level of her learning and practice therefore no one image has remained in the same context for too long and is always a continuous project developing as she is.
