I am exploring our relationship with the rural landscape with my photography. I am interested in those aspects of our rural environment which might go unnoticed; but which if seen could make us react and respond. I try to use photography to reveal situations which could cause the viewer to question and speculate. The reaction to the images may vary however the type of reaction is less important than the fact that we actually react. In this way I hope to raise awareness of our rural environment.

The series 'edge of darkness' particularly explores the idea of the uncanny in relation to the rural environment.

I am also asking the question, if photography draws something to our attention does that mean that we will actually see it ?
